How to Increase Your Sales
Email Marketing - On Page Sign Up
Used when a customer inputs their email address into an on page signup sheet that appears on your website. This can be for marketing purposes for example. This feature requires a User Contact List to function correctly. This page explains how to set up a Contact List. Make sure to choose User as the Contact List type during set up
To set up an on page email signup, follow these steps:
- From the Admin Panel, look to the left and select Marketing > Email Marketing > On Page Email Sign Up:
- The next page will show the On Page Email Signup Manager. First, select Configure:
- Check the information in the Configuration section and update as needed. When satisfied with your choices, press the orange Save Changes button in the bottom right:
- Select the Contact List that customers who use the Sign Up form will be added to. You need to create User Contact List to use this so make sure you have set one up by following the guide here and making sure to select User as the List Type:
- Select the Prospect Sequence that will be sent to these prospective customers:
- Next, you need to edit the email:
- Compose your email using either HTML or plain text and select Finish when complete:
- The next section is specific to your website blog. You can repeat the steps from above for this section. Don't forget to edit/create the email that will be sent when people sign up to your mailing list through your blog and a notification email that is sent when you post a new article to your blog. The process is the same:
- The On Page Email Signup is set up and ready to go. When your customers browse your site and use the mailling list sign up sheet (usually in the footer block or bottom of a page) they will be added to the Contact List you defined and then sent an email to welcome them. If you selected and defined a Prospect Sequence, they will be added to that mailling list as well
