Welcome Back Autoresponders
What is a Welcome Back Autoresponder?
- If a customer purchases from your site.
- Then does not visit the site for a set amount of time e.g. 6 months.
- Then visits your website.
- This will trigger an email to be sent to that customer automatically when they re-visit your site.
If you have a sequence of emails, then they will receive further emails from you automatically after that.
Welcome Back Autoresponders are a very effective form of marketing as it allows you to send emails such as 'It's great to see you back' informing the customer of new products or perhaps a special returning customer discount.
How to set up a Welcome Back Autoresponder
Navigate to 'Marketing'>'Email Marketing'>'Autoresponders'>'Welcome Back Sequence'
Click on the 'Create New Sequence' link.
Enter a name and description for the Welcome Back Sequence and click on 'Add New Sequence'.
Click on the edit icon for the sequence.
Click on 'Add Email to Sequence'
Create the first email in the sequence. In this instance, we will click on the 'custom' link.
Click on 'Finish' to Save the email.
At this point, you can add other emails to the sequence and set the time intervals between the emails.
We will click on the 'Back' link.
Click on the 'Set Absence Trigger' link.
Choose the amount of time that the contact needs to be away from your site to trigger the welcome back sequence.
Then click on 'Save Changes'
Click on 'Back' then click on the Toggle Switch to switch on the Welcome Back Autoresponder.
The Welcome Back Autoresponder is now set up and active.
